An old Farmer

A short rhyme about grandpa

My Grandpa was a fun man

A farmer for life he worked the land

He grew old like everyone must

Into the home and we lost his trust

Eight long years he lived that way

Now beside my grandma he does lay

A long life lived growing crops

Filling stores for America to shop

He gave his all to that land

But in the end when he needed a hand

He was tucked away into the home

Visited often but still alone

My Grandpa was a family man

Ending like this was not his plan
